Cable management

phew

I just finished cleaning up the cabling. It is still not great but at least it is not total spaghetti. I just tied all cables together in bundles in a way that is probably not good for the cables nor for signal integrity. But I guess they’ll survive. I have pretty much every sort of cable going on here; power (ac and dc), ethernet, hdmi, analog audio, speakers, usb, coax, even optical toslink as a cherry on top. The two-sided velcro loop-and-hook tape I got is very convenient though.

Back

I kinda intentionally had not bothered with cable management at all while I was setting things up, knowing that I’ll need to do this fully over once everything is place. That time was now.

Finished

Front

The way the switch is now in kinda reversed orientation facing the back wall is bit silly but it just makes more sense like that. A 90° IEC power cable would make it bit neater though.

Back

Whole thing pushed to its final position:

Back (again)

Makes it look much messier again :(
